Live shopping – We believe it can be more. More than a sales promotion platform, more than a bridge to e-commerce and more than a chat. Think Late Night meets Home Shopping Network with the ambition of pioneering “Retailtainment” in the Nordic market.
As lead agency we were tasked with developing the long-term strategy and concept for Samsung’s live shopping investment in the Nordics. Our vision was a platform created to connect, entertain and engage with fans in real time and provide them a virtual hands-on experience with new exciting products, relevant topics and unique buying opportunities.
The concept #LiveAtSamsung premiered on January 15th, 2021 with hostess Dasha Girine, special guest Måns Zelmerlöw and Amanda Schulman.
Consumer electronic devices are not a set of products you typically buy on an impulse. Hence, we needed to view live shopping as a place for rich content, leverage it as a tool for connecting with people over time and not only as a place for sales promotions.
Under four strategic pillars we invited viewers and participant to 1: Get Inspired, 2: Discover more, 3: Learn new things and 4: Engage with Samsung products, people and brand.
Together with broadcasting platform Bambuser and Good Enough Media we set out to create a live shopping platform that could enable commerce and entertainment to intertwine and blend together in vibrant and synergetic ways. #LiveAtSamsung did just that.
